TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Delhi-haridwar by train journey
Early morning board Shatabdi Express train for Haridwar Dep: 06:55 HRS. Breakfast on Board. Arr: 1125 HRS. Arrive Haridwar. Met upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Evening attend Aarti ceremony on the Ganges . Overnight STAY.

DAY 02: HARIDWAR
Morning proceed to sightseeing of Haridwar. Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttrakhand region and is located on the foothills of Shivaliks. It is on the banks of River Ganges. The River Ganges Leaves the mountains and enters the plains with Haridwar being the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely nevertheless it becomes very quiet and calm here. The City acquired a unique charm in the evening when the ghats become breathtakingly beautiful with thousand of Diyas and Marigold floating in the waters of Ganges. We visit various places like Mansa Devi temple, Sapt Rishi, Daksha Mahadev temple etc. In the evening we visit Har ki Pauri again. In the evening a Maha Aarti is performed on the ghat. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 03: HARIDWAR – RISHKESH (25 KMS/ 40 MINS)
Morning Drive to Rishikesh. Rishikesh – the world capital of Yoga. Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, Rishikesh is a beautiful city that remains thronged with devotees and adventure enthusiasts all through the year. The city features a unique charm and scenic beauty which adds to the visit of every traveler. The place holds immense religious importance as it is the starting point of sacred pilgrimage tours of Hindus- the Char Dham Yatra (comprising Gangotri, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Kedarnath).The place features a serene and pleasant ambiance which is perfect for those who wish for some privacy and peace, away from the daily hustle and bustle of the overcrowded cities. On arrival check-in at hotel Later visit Lakshman Jhula, a popular attraction of Rishikesh. The place is known to offer picturesque views of the snow capped mountains and lush green forests. The bridge was built in the year 1939 and it is believed that Lakshman, brother of Lord Ram, crossed the Ganges on jute ropes, on which the bridge stands today. In the evening, visit the Triveni Ghat to witness yet another special prayer ceremony. It is very interesting to watch the prayer ceremony. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 04: RISHIKESH – KUNJAPURI TREK – RISHIKESH (32 KMS/1 HRS)
Get up early and after breakfast leave for Hindolakhal. On arrival, start trek to Kunjapuri. This trek experience promises to take you through the thick forest that you will enjoy, till we reach Kunjapuri. Join the class for meditation , asanas and relaxation given by expert teachers after exploring the area for some time. Behold the sight of sunrise on Greater Himalayan peaks, return to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

The Kunjapuri Temple situated perfectly a top of a conical mountain is a historically acclaimed Hindu sanctuary built in memory of the Goddess Parvati (Also known as Goddess Sati and Goddess Durga).

However, a note written about its history was that religious followers in India built the Kunjapuri Shrine after the grueling death of their Goddess Parvati also known as Sati. Sati sacrificed her life after her father King Daksha humiliated her husband and her at a gathering that attracted thousands, after her sudden death, her husband Lord Shiva flew her body over Rishikesh and her body that was destroyed fell into the lands of Rishikesh thus creating a temple dedicated to her name.

According to temple goers in the area, the temple a top the hill on a clear day can attract some spectacular views of the ever so beautiful snow ranges of the Himalaya and the Valley's of the Bhagirathi.

DAY 05: RISHIKESH – NEELKANTH (35 KMS/ 1 HRS)
Morning Firstly , you will be driven to the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, which is located around 35 km from Rishikesh. Set at an elevation of 1330 meter , Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one among the most revered temples of Lord Shiva in the country. As per the legend, the temple is constructed at the same place where Lord Shiva consumed poison which came out of Samudra, because of which his throat turned blue. This incidence gave him the name of Neelkanth. Seek blessings of Lord Shiva. Back to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 06: RISHIKESH - VASHISTHA CAVE – RISHIKESH (25KMS / 1 HRS)
Morning head for Vashistha Cave, where one of the most revered saints of Hindus, Sri Vashistha and his wife Srimati Arundhati had meditated for long. Located on the banks of the river Ganges, the cave is an ideal gateway for a spiritual seeker who would like to meditate and spend time in contemplation. back to rishikesh, Later visit Neer Gaddu Waterfall is 5 kms far from Rishikesh on Rishikesh Badrinath Highway. Neer Gaddu Waterfall is most famous waterfall for small hike. Neer Gaddu Waterfall is accessible by trek only. From the Rishikesh Badrinath Highway there is small hilly road (unpaved) to reach Neergaddu Waterfall. Only. Once you reach base there is very small waterfall after 200 meter trek where you can also take bath in small artificial swimming pool. Further 1.2 kms trek will take you to the bigger waterfall. Here also there is small artificial swimming pool for bath Back to Rishikesh. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 07: RISHIKESH – DEVPRAYAG (70 KM/ 3- 4 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to our first Prayag, Devprayag is one of the most prominent place among all 5 Prayags. It is the place where Bhagirathi (originating from Gaumukh near Gangotri) meets Alaknanda (originating from Alkapuri near Badrinath) and becomes Ganga. The Sangam (confluence) attaracts lot many pilgrims, it is believed that by taking bath in the sangam sins get absolved. There is Raghunath temple and an observatory in Devprayag . Evening free for your own activity. Overnight stay in Devprayag.

DAY 08: DEVPRAYAG – RUDRAPRAYAG (70 KM/ 3 – 4 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Rudraprayag is located at the confluence of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers and has bifurcations for Kedarnath and Badrinath. Rudraprayag is a newly formed district headquarters. Koteshwar temple near Rudraprayag is located inside a cave and is a favourite destination of lord Shiva devotees. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.

DAY 09: RUDRAPRAYAG – HARIDWAR (165 KMS / 6 – 7 HRS)
Morning after breakfast drive towards haridwar. Explore the area and transfer to Railway station to Board train for Delhi . Departure: 1810 Hrs. Dinner on Board. Arrive New Delhi 2230 hrs. Tour Terminates
